My Valentine
The sea is sea green dark aquamarine
a perfect horizon line to the sky-blue sky
one lone pelican bobbed in the surf
right in front of me. I guess you
could say it’s my valentine. Male or
female, I’ll never know & honestly
it doesn’t matter. I wish I had a fish
to give it…of course a pink fish.
My secret Valentine floated
further out
further away
on the sea green dark aquamarine.
It’s O.K., It never would
have worked out anyway.
